The only problem I have encountered so far is that all your macros disappear every time you launch the game. Step 1: Download and install Wineskin Winery. Right click the TBC app and go to "Show package content". On my Mac is in User name (my account name)/applications/wineskin/TBC. There are other programs that allow you to run Windows applications on macOS. Run the game and exit when you get to the log in screen. As I was fiddling with Wine, I got a solution for us, fellow Mac users. I read the thread and was left with the impression that people still find it troublesome to run TBC on Mac.
